In addition, the correction of optical distortion provides an aspherical rear
I have a Canon 600D/Rebel T3i and have recently purchased the 24mm f/2.8 STM lens. It is important to note that I am a beginner. I have the switch on Manual, and have tried several ways to get it to focus and shoot the precise videos I know the 24mm is capable of on a 600D.
So, first of all. 24 f/2.8 STM and 28mm f/1.8 are wildly different focal lengths. The 24 is an EF-S lens, while the 28 is a EF lens. The EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM sees Canon trying to replicate this winning formula, only now for APS-C shooters. With its 38mm equivalent focal length, the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 gives a natural, undistorted perspective to images.
